Yogi Tea
It’s the perfect season for this warming beverage that my friend shared with me over 30 years ago. Just made up a batch when she came to visit recently. Ginger and cinnamon are well known for their medicinal properties including anti-viral and immune boosting potential, which is so important at this time of year.
7 sticks cinnamon sticks
7 slices fresh ginger
18 cardamon pods
1-2 tsp. whole black peppercorns
Fill large pot with 8 cups water and bring to boil. Add ingredients and simmer on low heat, adding more water as needed. Let simmer all day. You could also do this in a crock pot.
This is delicious on it’s own with a bit of your favorite sweetener. You can also pour over a tea bag and add milk beverage of your choice.
