Who is Louise?

After a successful professional career with the federal government, Louise followed her passion for food and studied at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto. As a Certified Nutritional Practitioner since July 2000, Louise is well qualified to guide you on your quest for wellness. She inspires clients to improve their health and well-being through nutrition and self-care.

Within the Thirteen Moons community, clients consider Louise as Woman of Nurturing for the way she lovingly creates exceptional nourishing food for guests. Whether you participate in her vegetarian cooking workshops or experience her fabulous meals as a retreat guest, Louise infuses her knowledge, easy manner and creativity.

The Writer

Louise is the author of two popular cookbooks, Thirteen Moons – seasonal recipes to nourish and inspire, which are available online and from Amazon. She has been a regular contributor to a number of local, regional, including  The Link, and online publications. For the past 14 years, she has also published a monthly subscriber based e-newsletter.

The Entrepreneur

Louise also has a deep commitment to entrepreneurship. From 2015-2017, she sat on the Board of the Women’s Business Network (WBN) of Peterborough as Program Director. Both years she was voted WBN Member of the Year. In 2016, Louise was the recipient of the 2nd Annual Judy Heffernan Award. Those funds sponsored 5 participants to attend Peterborough’s inaugural International Women’s Day conference in 2017. Louise spearheaded and produced this event as Chair of the Organizing Committee. Thirteen Moons Wellness hosted the 2018 IWD conference that was again highly rated by attendees.
