Who is Louise?

With Thirteen Moons, Louise Racine, B.S.SC., C.N.P., has realized her dream of creating a special community to support other women who want to achieve balance and harmony in their lives.

After a successful professional career with the federal government, Louise decided to follow her passion for food and studied at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition in Toronto. As a Certified Nutritional Practitioner since July 2000, Louise is well qualified to guide you on your quest for wellness. She is committed to inspiring clients to improve their health and well-being through nutrition and self-care.

In the community she has created at Thirteen Moons, Louise has come to be known as Woman of Nurturing for the way she lovingly creates exceptional nourishing food for guests. Whether you participate in her vegetarian cooking workshops or experience her fabulous meals as a retreat guest, you’re sure to be impressed with her knowledge, easy manner and creativity.

Louise is the author of a popular cookbook, Thirteen Moons – seasonal recipes to nourish and inspire and has been a regular contributor to a number of local, regional and online publications. For the past 10 years, she has also published a monthly subscriber based e-newsletter.

Louise also has a deep commitment to entrepreneurship. She currently sits on the Board of the Women’s Business Network (WBN) of Peterborough as Program Director. In 2016, she was voted WBN Member of the Year and was the recipient of the 2nd Annual Judy Heffernan Award.  In 2017, she used those funds to sponsor 5 participants to attend Peterborough’s inaugural International Women’s Day conference, an event hosted by the WBN, which she spearheaded and produced as Chair of the Organizing Committee.
