Shine – Dancing with your Divine Inner Light

Dance Our Way Home™ is a women’s ecstatic dance practice that touches body, mind, heart and soul.  Beginning and ending by sitting in sacred circle, DOWH follows a spiral journey from guided relaxation, to body flow, to dancing with self, with partners, in a group, and then back to self again.

Co-created by Erica Ross, DOWH invites women to explore self-expression in a safe and non-judgemental space.  No dance experience needed, just an open heart and mind.

Teresa McDonald-Thuro is offering this complimentary 1.5 hour session Shine – Dancing with your Divine Inner Light, as part of her practicum to become a certified DOWH facilitator.  This June, Teresa participated in RADICAL RADIANCE and the Dance Our Way Home Facilitator Training.  A lover of dance and a Green Belt Nia Teacher, Teresa is excited to share this beautiful practice with you.

This session will be held outdoors on the lawn. A few helpful reminders and suggestions:  Please arrive 10 minutes early to give yourself time to prepare for our session. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in; layering is a good idea to keep you comfortable throughout the session.

Bio – Teresa McDonald-Thuro – Nia Green Belt Teacher, DOWH Facilitator Trainee

A student of Nia for over six years, Teresa completed the Nia White Belt training in 2011 and the Nia Green Belt training in 2013. This year Teresa discovered and fell in love with Dance Our Way Home™, a women’s ecstatic dance practice.  In June 2015, she participated in the RADICAL RADIANCE training and Dance Our Way Home™ facilitator training with Erica Ross.
